PlugRush Support FAQ - Advertising

I deleted my campaign by mistake

Don't worry, the campaign isn't lost forever.
Write us a ticket with the campaign ID and the Support crew will restore it for you!

Which size can I make my banner?

You can choose between several banner sizes:
160x600
300x600
300x250
728x90

Why did the traffic I received exceed the hourly limit?

When ordering mobile redirect and desktop popunder traffic this sometimes can happen when limit is set too low and you have targeted too many GEO's, or too high volume GEO's, like the US and India. Our stats update once a minute, and when such GEO's are targeted you might have exceeded several thousand hits within the first minute.
So when buying mobile redirect traffic, please make sure to target GEO's fitting the amount of traffic you're after.

Can I target certain traffic sources or IP's?

Yes.
Then you create a whitelist in our list page and apply it to the campaign(s) you want to.
You can target either IP's/IP ranges or domains.

Can I exclude some traffic sources?

Yes, you can.
Make a blacklist, where you add the website(s) you don't want traffic from, and apply it to the campaign(s) you want it added to. You can make your blacklists in our list page

When will my campaign be reviewed?

Most campaigns are reviewed within 24 hours, normally shorter than that. It might take a bit longer during weekends and holidays.
One of our campaign admins will review your campaign as soon as possible.
Making a ticket to ask us review your campaign will not make it go any faster, as it's not the same admins handling tickets as reviewing campaigns.

How much will the traffic cost?

Prices vary a lot, and depend on which kind of traffic you buy, for which OS, and which countries you want to target, so that's difficult to say in advance.

Here's a list of the minimum prices:
https://www.plugrush.com/advertisers/prices
We recommend you set up a test campaign to try out. When you choose the settings you want for your campaign you will be able to see how your campaign rates against other competing campaigns.

How can I refund a campaign?

If you have a campaign that is not performing, you can have the remaining balance refunded to your account. In order to do so, please press "More options" on the campaign(s), then "Request Refund". We will process your request as soon as possible and the balance left on the campaign will be returned to your account.
Once a campaign has been refunded, we won't be possible to re-start it again.

Can I redirect my campaign urls?

Generally we do not allow campaign urls to be redirected to other locations than what you specify in your campaign. We use advanced methods to detect url redirects and may ban your campaign or account if you do this.
However, we do allow you to redirect to different landing pages that looks similar based on geo and language so you can have different landingpages for each country.

Campaign Parameters / Tracking / SubIDs

When you buy traffic from PlugRush, there are a few parameters you can put in the URL that will be replaced by actual data by us before the visitor is sent to your campaign. Below is a list of available parameters you can use when buying traffic:

{$id} - a unique ID of the traffic source/website
{$cc} - two letter country code of the visitor
{$category} - the category of the traffic source/website
{$domain} - the domain of the traffic source/website
{$trafficsource} - type of the traffic source (babelog, blog, dump, mgp, tgp or tube)
{$campaign_id} - the unique ID of your campaign
{$ad_id} - a unique ID of your ad (PlugTraffic only)
{$ad_ref} - your internal ad reference (PlugTraffic only)
{$mobile_os} - the mobile OS of the visitor
 Example URL: http://www.mywebsite.com/?campaign=plugrush&subId={$id}&country_code={$cc}

"Website has no traffic history" What does it mean?

Your campaigns can be rejected with the following message saying: "Website has no traffic history, we only allow sites with a certain traffic level".
When this happens your campaign has been rejected because we are unsure about it being a legit advertising campaign. This can be because the campaign doesn't look like it would be able to make a profit based on the look and feel of the campaign your trying to create, and what you want to pay per click. Because of todays high amount of malwaretizers trying to create fake campaigns that redirect to malware, we are very strict about letting in new advdertisers who we have no earlier record with.
So what can you do to get your campaign approved?
It will help if you provide us with some info on what you will be promoting, and how you see it being profitable for you. Perhaps showing us some stats for previous campaigns you have ran at other networks, and how they worked, or something else that helps convince us that your advertising campaign is what it looks like.

What happens when I edit a campaign that is running?

You can edit any info on a running campaign except the URL(s), and it will continue to run as normal. If you edit the URL, either the campaign itself (for all campaigns that does not have ads) will be paused until approved or the ad will be paused until approved.

What thumbnail size to use for my ads?

When you create ads in PlugRush in order to buy Plug Traffic, you have to provide a thumbnail. This thumbnail should be as high quality as possible to make sure it attracts maximum clicks from visitors in the network. There is no max size to the thumbnails, but, you should make sure it is at least 180x135 pixels (regular ads) or 180x270 pixels (gallery ads). It is recommended that regular ads thumbnails have a 4:3 aspect ratio while gallery ads have a 2:3 aspect ratio. Thumbnails below these minimum sizes will be rejected.
